My Beautiful Country - Helena Salreta

I’m Helena. I’m 20 years old. And I’m a Portuguese blogger.

Portugal is a small country with only 1 other country near it: Spain, Spring Break Land. Besides Spain, there’s only the Atlantic Ocean around us. Portugal is a country full of history and culture, with the best food I’ve ever tasted and the most beautiful landscapes. I’m a lifestyle blogger and vlogger, inviting you all to get to know this beautiful, small country with so much personality.

The capital is Lisbon. A city that you probably heard about.

But Portugal is much more than Lisbon. For example, there's Sintra, Porto, Algarve...And there are some countryside villages, like Alenquer. Simple life, simple history, strong personality...and some of the finest wines. Believe me!

If you look for Alenquer on the map, it's a little dot. But who would say that that dot makes some incredible wines?!

If you ever consider visiting Alenquer, there is a local wine cellar with the best selection of Lisbon area wines.

Portugal is known for its culture and history. And you can find exactly that in Alenquer. There are museums you can visit. There's historical BB you can stay in. And you even have some great restaurants with some national dishes.

Along with Torres Vedras, Alenquer it's the European Wine City for 2018 - one more great reason to visit us!

I think my country is the best one. I want to see the world, get to know other places, people and cultures. But I will always get back to my beautiful country.
